Columbus Nursing Home Celebrates Culture Day

October 3, 2019
McNaughten Pointe is home to people from all over the world! To celebrate the many nations and rich cultures represented by our residents and staff, we joined together this week for a Culture Day. We shared food, clothes, stories, and history from the places that are our home. Pictured here are just a few highlights: our Jamaican staff (RN supervisor Whiteley, HR Director Val, Scheduler Tekia, and STNA Beverly) shared food and facts, our Social Services Director Maria shared photos and treasures from Thailand, and our World Map features arrows pointing to all of the nations that McNaughten Pointe calls home!

We strive every day to celebrate the unique lives of those we care for at McNaughten Pointe. Every soul we care for has been shaped by years of individual experiences. Inspired by coming together to celebrate our differences on Culture Day, the poem "These Hands" was written by our Activities Director, Shirlena.

Do you have an experience you'd like to share with us, or a suggestion of how we can continue to celebrate the unique lives of our residents? Please contact Activities Director, Shirlena, at shucks@mcnaughten-pointe.net.

McNaughten Pointe is a 141-bed skilled nursing facility located near Reynoldsburg and Whitehall in Columbus, Ohio. We are located at the back of a quiet neighborhood near Mount Caramel East Hospital

We specialize in the following areas: orthopedic rehabilitation, stroke rehab, cardiac therapy, IV therapy, tracheostomy care, ventilator care, dementia, and long term care.

The Atrium at McNaughten Pointe is the premier 26-bed short term rehab unit specializing in post-acute care. Our patients enjoy the best clinical services around with RN’s around the clock, orthopedic nurse practitioners, and expert therapists. We recently teamed up with Sound Physicians; a physician group that follows their patients from the Mt. Carmel system to our facility. These rooms are spacious with private restrooms.

Our ventilator unit features 16 newly renovated private rooms! We provide 24/7 respiratory therapists and a pulmonologist. Come let us take care of your loved one. We are determined to provide the highest quality of care and treat your family like ours.

Please note, our facility was previously named Yorkland Park Care Center. In 2012, we were completely renovated and renamed McNaughten Pointe.

McNaughten Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation is proud to be a part of the Foundations Health Solutions family.

Foundations Health Solutions, founded by nursing home developer Brian Colleran, is committed to serving our residents, families, and communities with the highest level of care. With 57 skilled nursing facilities throughout Ohio, we are prepared to meet the needs of residents in Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and anywhere in-between with a wide range of services within our centers, including post-hospital stay, skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term care, memory care, and ventilator services.
